What is covered, and for how long
SETBOX guarantees the injection-molded ABS housing against defects in materials and workmanship, and against structural failure in normal use, for the lifetime of the product.
“Lifetime” means the usable service life of the product while the original purchaser owns it. Coverage ends when the product is resold or given away, or when it is retired from service.
Mounting hardware and wear items: one year
The magnetic hinges, the rubber coating on the magnet faces and the adhesive metal plates are covered for one year from delivery. These parts carry the load and are exposed to UV, heat and road vibration, so they are treated as serviceable components rather than lifetime ones.
Who is covered
The original retail purchaser only, with proof of purchase from getsetbox.com or an authorized reseller. This guarantee is not transferable.
What is not covered
- Starlink equipment of any kind, including the dish, router, cables and power supplies.
- Cosmetic scratches, dents and fading that do not affect how the product works.
- Improper installation, modification, drilling, painting or misuse.
- Use outside the stated housing temperature range of -40 °F to 140 °F.
- Accident, collision, theft, vandalism, fire, flood or natural disaster.
- Damage to a vehicle, roof, paint or mounting surface.
- Commercial or rental fleet use beyond the product’s design specifications.
- The cost of removal, reinstallation or any labor.
What we do about it
We repair the product, send replacement parts, or replace the mount with the same or a comparable current model, at our option, at no product cost. We pay ground shipping within the United States for approved claims.
How to make a claim
Email support@getsetbox.com with your order number, a description of the problem and photos. A person reads it and answers, usually the same day. Do not ship anything back before we authorize it and send you the warehouse address.
Legal
Any implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and of fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the duration of this written guarantee. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to you.
SETBOX is not liable for incidental, consequential, indirect, special or punitive damages, including damage to a vehicle, damage to Starlink equipment, or loss of service, data or income. Total liability is limited to the purchase price of the product. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this may not apply to you.
This guarantee gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
